starbucks redesign

In the latest issue of Architect magazine, some architects take a stab at re-designing Starbucks to improve their business and customer's experience. It's really well done.

While I agree that the design is interesting, I fail to see how this will aide them in making better coffee and enhancing the overall customer experience. It reminds me of a bar in a club. I shudder at the thought of having to compete with some A-type personality to get java in the AM. Although, the quality of the drinks is probably very much the same, over priced and lower quality then I (or in my case, my husband) could make at home.

well if starbucks decides to do that i will gladly consider going to starbucks. now all they need to work on is free wi-fi and not this two hour's free with t-mobile bs or something like that!

Yeah, I wish this were something they were ACTUALLY going to implement. I could really use a walk-up window so I could get coffee while walking the dog.
